Clinical Psychologist Mehmet Büyükçorak Presented His Paper at the 10th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions
Mehmet Büyükçorak, Clinical Psychologist and Coordinator of REDAM, presented on the effects of the positive psychology approach on digital addictions and academic adaptation at the 10th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions held in Nantes, France.

Between July 7–9, 2025, the 10th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions was held in Nantes, France. Representing Ibn Haldun University's Guidance and Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center (REDAM), Clinical Psychologist and REDAM Coordinator Mehmet Büyükçorak contributed to the conference with a scientific paper presentation.

Büyükçorak's presentation focused on the effectiveness of positive psychology-based psychoeducation in reducing digital technology addiction among university students. The intervention program -structured around self-regulation skills, digital mindfulness techniques, value-based action, and relational engagement- demonstrated meaningful improvements in psychological resilience, social connectedness, and digital behavior patterns.

The study introduced a unique intervention framework that integrates contemporary theoretical models such as Self-Determination Theory, the Broaden-and-Build Theory, and the Digital Self-Regulation Model. Preliminary findings suggest that this psychoeducational approach holds significant promise as an intervention strategy for addressing digital addiction in university settings.

This presentation not only showcased the scientific rigor of the research but also highlighted REDAM's growing capacity for impactful research and intervention development at the international level.
