New Semester Group Programs Launched at REDAM: Adaptation and Psychological Support Programs for Preparatory Student
Ibn Haldun University’s Guidance and Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center (REDAM) has announced the group programs it has prepared for the 2026–2027 academic year to strengthen students’ psychological resilience and support their adaptation to university life.

Focusing on the responsibilities, changing routines, and uncertainties that come with the transition to university, the programs are open to preparatory-year students, with sessions offered in both Turkish and English.

As of the first week of November, two Turkish-language groups have begun their sessions: “Adapting to Campus Life and Psychological Well-Being,” led by Psychological Counselor Zeynep Esra Yılmaz, and “A Journey to Myself: The Transition to University and Adulthood,” guided by Psychologist/Psychological Counselor Beyza Ünal. Another key component of the semester is “Flourishing Abroad,” an English-language group grounded in positive psychology and led by Clinical Psychologist (MSc) Mehmet Büyükçorak, designed to guide international students through their adaptation process.

Delivered over eight sessions with rich content ranging from creative arts methods and peer sharing to positive psychology tools, these programs offer students a valuable experience in which they can discover their personal resources and express themselves in a safe space. Places are limited, and participants who attend consistently will receive a certificate of participation. We hope these special programs prove to be a productive and supportive process for all our students.

We would like to thank our dedicated group leaders for their efforts, as well as all the students who are taking an active part in their adaptation journey, and we wish everyone a successful and healthy academic semester.
