REDAM, Participated in the Workshop on “Inclusivity in Mental Health Services for University Students”
Ibn Haldun University, Guidance and Psychological Counseling Implication and Research Center (REDAM) participated in the workshop titled “Inclusivity in Mental Health Services for University Students: Problems, Needs, and Solution Proposals,” organized by the Marmara University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Practice and Research Center.
Held online on May 5, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the workshop addressed issues related to strengthening inclusivity in university students’ access to mental health services. Within the scope of the program, participants discussed structural and individual barriers encountered by students in accessing mental health services; mental health needs arising in the context of neurodiversity, cultural differences, and disadvantaged groups; as well as examples of good practices and policy recommendations for improving inclusive mental health services at universities.

The workshop was attended by REDAM Director, Assist. Prof. Nagehan Pakdamar Tüzgen and REDAM specialist Psychological Counselor Zeynep Esra Yılmaz. The program brought together administrators, psychologists, psychological counselors, and staff working at Psychological Counseling and Guidance Practice and Research Centers of universities, where participants shared field-based experiences and discussed collaborative solutions to existing challenges.

REDAM’s participation in the workshop contributed to strengthening communication and collaboration networks among university counseling and psychological guidance centers. The workshop provided an important platform for evaluating and developing inclusive mental health services that support student well-being in higher education institutions.
