REDAM Attends the Transformative University Experience Conference at Koç University

Assist. Prof. Dr. Nagehan Pakdamar Tüzgen, Director of Ibn Haldun University’s Guidance and Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center (REDAM), attended the Transformative University Experience Conference, hosted by Koç University on 23–24 October 2026.

The conference brought together academics, student services professionals, administrators, counselors, peer mentors and student leaders on a shared platform. The event went beyond sharing good practices. It also aimed to address the challenges facing higher education, help institutions learn from one another’s experiences, and build lasting partnerships between institutions.

Leading figures in the field spoke at the conference. Roundtable sessions covered leadership, student well-being, communication with parents, crisis management and the future of the student experience. In experience workshops, participants worked on their own practices and tried out new methods together.

Pieterjan Bonne gave one of the most talked-about talks of the event. He stressed how important it is for students to take a direct part in the decisions that affect them.
